About Lisa Rose Starner
I’ve spent the past 10+ years being a local food advocate, and of course I grow food in my own gardens, I shop directly from local farmers, I forage in the woods and fields, I cook, I preserve the harvest.
But it was about four years ago that I realized there was more …I realized that the plants around me that I relegated to common ditch weeds were as important to my wellness as heirloom tomatoes and non-gmo seed.
Since that time, I’ve become a dedicated learner and practitioner of Western Herbalism — I formulate home-grown, wild harvested herbal remedies and run a small herbal Community Supported Agriculture program. I also host classes about food, foraging, herbalism and local plants.
And as a blogger and freelance writer, I like to share all of my cool experiences so others may be inspired to savor the moment and stop to smell the roses along the way.
Got a project or writing idea that includes food, organics, herbs, foraging, eating, wellness, travel? Drop me a line!
